Lonestar Forklift is an integral entity of Leavitt Industrial Group.The OpportunityLonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically inclined Shop Technician (Forklift Mechanic) to join our Service team in Odessa, Texas. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Shop Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a Shop Technician your key responsibilities will include:Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machineryDiagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needsTracking parts for ongoing service jobsCompleting work order formsCommunicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needsProactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipmentFollowing established warranty processesRequired Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:At least 5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industryExperience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong assetRelevant Trade Certification is an assetPrevious aerial platform and lift truck experience an assetStrong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholdersExcellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical conceptsStrong work ethic and a positive attitudeHigh school diplomaValid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region is requiredBenefits & PerksLonestar Forklift is proud to offer competitive compensation and flexible benefits coverage for all eligible employees:Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental benefits for you and your dependentsLife Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability – 100% employer paidEmployee assistance programs401K matchingOngoing professional development opportunitiesThe base pay range for this role is: $34.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience.This is an onsite role based in Odessa, Texas.Lonestar Forklift would like to thank all applicants for their interest; however, only qualified applicants will be contacted by Talent Acquisition for an interview.
