Tax Manager

Seeking a Tax Manager with 5+ years of public accounting experience, strong multi-state tax expertise, and hands-on experience reviewing complex corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns within a regional or middle-market CPA firm.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns including C-Corp, S-Corp, partnership, and individual returns.
• Handle consolidated and consolidating tax returns.
• Oversee tax consulting and compliance engagements.
• Maintain direct client interaction and build long-term client relationships.
• Manage tax engagements from planning through completion.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
• Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support client needs and engagement goals.

Qualifications:

• BS or BA in Accounting required.
• CPA certification required.
• MST preferred.
• 5+ years of recent public accounting experience within a regional, middle-market, or national CPA firm.
• Strong experience with multi-state taxation.
• Experience with consolidated and consolidating tax returns.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
• Prior engagement management experience in tax and/or audit engagements preferred.
