Cecil Atkission Motors is seeking a Parts Manager to join our Fredericksburg team.

Position Summary

The Auto Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dealership's parts department, including inventory management, customer service, wholesale operations, purchasing, and team leadership. This role ensures the department operates efficiently, maintains optimal inventory levels, and provides exceptional support to the service, sales, and retail customers while achieving departmental sales and profitability goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Parts Department.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop Parts Advisors and warehouse personnel.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective ordering, stocking, and cycle counts.
• Monitor inventory turnover and implement strategies to reduce obsolescence.
• Ensure timely availability of parts for service technicians to minimize repair delays.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and wholesale customers.
• Oversee pricing, purchasing, warranties, returns, and core processing.
• Monitor departmental financial performance, including sales, gross profit, expenses, and inventory metrics.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, dealership policies, and safety regulations.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with the Service and Sales Departments to support dealership operations and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare reports, forecasts, and departmental budgets as requested by management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, dealership operations, and manufacturer parts systems.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with dealership management software (DMS) and inventory management systems.
• Ability to analyze reports and make sound business decisions.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Work in both office and warehouse environments.
