As a key partner to executive leadership, the Controller will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and advancing the firm’s accounting function.As the Controller, you will:Provide leadership to the accounting team, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development, while delivering regular performance feedbackPrepare and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and adherence to the close calendar, identifying and resolving any discrepanciesOversee the monthly close of the General Ledger and consolidation and reporting of financial resultsCoordinate and oversee the annual audit process with external auditorsDevelop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and effectivenessOversee accounts payable processes, including vendor payments, and provide oversight of payroll operationsMonitor cash flow and manage budgeting and forecasting activitiesAssist in strategic financial planning and risk management initiativesCollaborate closely with the CFO and executive leadership on financial strategiesWhat you bring to the role:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related fieldCPA designation preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including roles as a Controller or Assistant ControllerDemonstrated experience managing accounting teams and overseeing financial reporting within a large or complex organizationExcellent leadership and team management capabilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiencesAbility to develop and implement strategic financial plansDetail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reportingProficiency in financial management software and ERP systems, preferably WorkdayAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skillsIn-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standardsAbility to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insightsWhat you can expect from us: Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respectThe opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages youA collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional developmentCompetitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeingFlexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of workOpportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different culturesBenefits Information:Cherry Bekaert cares about our people.
