Job Summary Banner Health invites Registered Nurses to join the Cardiology‑BSMS team in Scottsdale, Arizona. Job Details Location: Banner Scottsdale Sports Medicine, 7400 N Dobson Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4‑10‑hour shifts or 5‑8‑hour shifts. Department: Cardiology‑BSMS. Position Summary This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice using the framework for professional nursing practice and development. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or by those under their direction. Core Functions Assess patients at physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural levels, and plan discharge needs; review history, diagnostics, and laboratory data. Formulate and document individualized care plans, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and revise plans based on patient status. Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed and measuring progress toward goals. Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record with legible, timely entries. Provide care based on best evidence, participate in research activities, and engage in unit or facility leadership and orientation of staff, students, and families. Contribute to society by participating in activities that improve patient outcomes and professional organizations. In some roles, supervise staff and workflow of the department. Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts, including clergy for spiritual support, and synthesize data to support patient and family response. Minimum Qualifications Current valid RN license in Arizona or a temporary/interim RN license or compact RN licensure for the state of practice. BLS certification required; additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice. Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired; one year of experience in an acute‑care hospital setting for Registry/Travel positions. For home‑health roles, ability to operate a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto‑insurance. For certain Behavioral Health roles, possession of an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and Arizona Criminal History Affidavit at hire and maintenance throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
