Our Armed Security Officers for a busy retail location conduct mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue05:00 PM - 11:30 PM Wed05:00 PM - 11:30 PM Fri04:00 PM - 11:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and local regulations. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and/or loading zones, as assigned. Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting. Document observations, incidents, and/or interactions, and communicate with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and response actions. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Level III Armed Guard Card is required in Texas only. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
