Job Description Summary We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join Greystar’s Data, Digital, and AI (D2AI) team. In this full‑time, 100% hands‑on role you will design, implement, and manage Azure‑based infrastructure and cloud solutions, with a strong focus on Azure Databricks, DevOps practices, and site reliability. Your work will ensure system scalability, security, performance, and availability for both internal and customer‑facing products. What You Will Do Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable Azure solutions that meet organizational technical and operational needs. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and server configurations, architecture diagrams, and operating procedures. Optimize Azure configuration for performance, cost efficiency, and security. Monitor the health and reliability of Azure resources and applications—including ADF pipelines—to ensure high availability. Identify and address network and server performance issues proactively. Collaborate with development teams to align Azure architecture with application requirements and promote best practices for resource provisioning, scaling, and configuration. Enable teams to leverage Azure services such as DataBricks for advanced analytics and data workflows. Detect, analyze, and respond to network and security anomalies, coordinating incident response and resolution. Investigate and resolve infrastructure and network issues, escalating as needed and documenting incidents. Set up and manage Azure Databricks environments, tuning pipelines, and troubleshooting related challenges. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform (and other IaC tools) and implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring. Act as the primary Azure‑related troubleshooting contact, collaborating with DevOps and operations teams to resolve complex technical issues. Analyze operational metrics to identify areas for process improvement, cost optimization, and technology adoption. Stay current on emerging Azure technologies and cloud computing trends to drive innovation. Qualifications Proven experience as an Azure Architect or Senior Systems Engineer with hands‑on Azure solution implementation. Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or similar). Strong expertise in Azure Databricks, including setup, configuration, and optimization. Extensive knowledge of Azure services such as App Services, Function Apps, Cosmos DB, Storage, Networking, Azure DevOps, and security. Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex Azure‑related issues. Hands‑on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or related languages. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business management, information systems, or equivalent experience (advanced degree preferred). Preferred: experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Azure, cloud cost‑management strategies, Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate), and knowledge of network security practices and regulatory compliance. Benefits Salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 annually. Additional compensation: eligible for quarterly or annual bonuses (for corporate roles) and weekly, monthly, or quarterly bonuses (for onsite positions).
