Contract Marketing Designer

Daffy is a mission-driven organization focused on helping people be more generous, more often. We're looking for an experienced Contract Marketing Designer to join our team during our busiest stretch of the year: the end-of-year giving season. You'll take ownership of high-visibility marketing work, including our annual Year in Review, key landing pages, paid campaigns, and a new set of reusable templates and systems our team can continue using in 2027. We're looking for someone who can take a brief, quickly understand the goal, develop strong creative, and get polished work out the door without a lot of hand-holding. Engagement: Contract, approximately 30 hours/week, November – February. We’d ideally have you start as soon as possible, with an overlap with our in-house designer before their parental leave. What You'll Work On This is a hands-on role spanning both consumer and business marketing. You’ll work closely with our VP of Marketing and wider marketing team on projects including: Owning the design of our annual Year in Review Designing and refreshing key marketing and campaign landing pages Developing paid acquisition creative across channels and audiences Creating campaign concepts, illustrations, and social assets Designing presentations, one-pagers, and sales/partner materials Building reusable templates and systems leveraging Figma and Claude that make it easier for our team to create great work independently Partnering with marketing and engineering to move work from concept through launch What We're Looking For 5+ years of marketing, brand, or visual design experience, ideally at a consumer fintech or high-growth venture-backed startup A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent visual judgment across web, campaigns, social, and presentations Fluency in building design systems in Figma and Claude, including preparing designs for engineering handoff Experience creating scalable templates and systems for non-designers Experience working within an established brand system while knowing when and how to push it forward The ability to work independently, move quickly, and turn ambiguous briefs into polished creative Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating closely with marketers, writers, engineers, and other stakeholders Bonus Points Experience using AI tools to accelerate design exploration, production, or repetitive workflows Familiarity with financial services, charitable giving, employee benefits, or other complex products that require making information easy to understand Location Remote or Hybrid (Bay Area) What's In It For You The opportunity to shape campaigns for one of the Top 10 donor-advised funds in the country, now managing over $2 billion in charitable assets.
