What You’ll Do

As a Peer Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in empowering individuals on their journey to recovery and wellness. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing support and encouragement to clients based on your own lived experiences.
• Assisting clients in setting and achieving personal goals.
• Building trusting relationships and fostering a sense of hope and empowerment.
• Collaborating with team members to develop individualized care plans.
• Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Traveling to client homes to provide in-person support.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who are empathetic, reliable, and ready to make a difference. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Lived experience with mental health challenges, substance use recovery, or other relevant life experiences.
• Completion of (or willingness to complete) Peer Support certification as required by the organization or state.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (additional education is a plus).
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• The ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• A clean background check (KBI, APS, CPS, Nurse Aide Registry).
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes.

No prior professional experience is required—your personal journey and willingness to support others are what matter most.
