Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

$1909.44/week –

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide exceptional patient care in a high-acuity environment. This role involves supporting obstetric patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures while ensuring safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients’ condition during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications such as IV drips, including magnesium, and manage fetal monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during procedures like C-sections, epidurals, spinal blocks, and cerclages.
• Circulate and scrub in the surgical suite, supporting OR procedures and ensuring sterile techniques.
• Document patient care and clinical interventions accurately in Meditech system.
• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and provide postpartum care support.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NRP certifications required.
• Demonstrated experience handling high-acuity L&D patients and performing procedures such as C-sections and epidurals.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including night hours, in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of fetal heart rate monitoring and obstetric protocols.
