Rewards Senior Associate Consultant

Company: Mercer Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Consulting team at Mercer. This role will be based in Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Rewards Senior Associate is part of Mercer’s Career practice, a team that designs and implements broad-based and executive rewards programs to help clients attract and retain talent. In this role you apply analytical and design skills to benchmark pay, shape incentive structures aligned to business strategy, monitor regulatory and market trends, and develop client-facing deliverables. You will manage client projects and presentations and provide formal and informal coaching, technical review, and development for Analysts and Associates on the project team. We will count on you to: Prepare project charts and templates using project management tools, estimate hours for the project team, and prepare timelines for project milestones Serve as an independent project manager for entire projects and/or work streams Develop compensation strategies, philosophies, and programs that address clients’ attraction and retention need Ensure client projects adhere to budget, and immediately address out-of-scope issues or budget overruns and manage the client’s expectations Prioritize project activities to manage the workload and meet project deadlines Delegate and lead project tasks in line with individual capability, development needs, and available analyst and associate resources Partner with our Principals and Partners to help manage the proposal process Lead both internal and client project finding, status, and check‑in meetings Serve as a primary client contact and build relationships with clients What you need to have: Bachelor’s degree At least 5 years of experience in broad-based rewards/compensation External consulting experience required (experience consulting with external clients on behalf of a professional services firm) Knowledge of compensation principles, e.g., job benchmarking, salary structure design, job architecture Strong quantitative background and skill set Deep analysis and reporting experience – skilled in data manipulation and analysis using spreadsheet software, as well as developing written reports which summarize analysis and provide interpretation in the context of the challenge faced by the client Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities What makes you stand out?
