ABOUT AMPED INNOVATION
Amped Innovation is a designer and manufacturer of high-performance solar systems and appliances for off-grid and unreliable grid environments. Working closely with its partners, Amped serves hundreds of thousands of families and small businesses in need of reliable, clean energy across Africa. Amped is backed by leading impact investors and institutions. This role will support the company in achieving its business goals and involve managing a wide range of initiatives including fundraising, corporate strategy and financial management to scale.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect a financial strategy that aligns with the company’s growth goals
- Identify & secure financing from a variety of sources
- Evolve and create financial models, determine risks & identify key opportunities (i.e.
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Perform due diligence and risk on projects and partnerships
- Analyze various scenarios for projects
- Spearhead negotiations & support with contract structuring
- Evaluate & track project financials over time
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including through reporting requirements
- Oversee finance team and provide mentorship
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, such as finance or economics; MBA or other advanced degree is preferable ● Finance experience & demonstrated success in fundraising, developing & closing financial deals- Exceptional relationships with key stakeholders such as financial institutions
- Strong team management and communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical, with strong financial modeling experience
- Results-oriented with ability to thrive in fast-pace, high-growth startup environments
