Main Responsibilities: Receive service orders on a daily basis from the utility office. Connect and disconnect meters. Perform read-outs or read-ins. Walk or drive truck over established route and takes readings of meter dials. Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections. Indicate irregularities on forms for necessary action by servicing department. Verify readings to locate abnormal consumption and records reasons for fluctuations. Assist utility employees in rerouting when necessary. Return route book to business office for billing purposes. Responsible for ensuring that company vehicles and equipment receive the proper care and maintenance. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 months related experience or training. Current Driver's License and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year gas construction experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
