Insurance Verification Specialist

Qualifications Ability to communicate clearly and speak concisely. Ability to exercise professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel, patients, and patients' families. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of general medical office procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology. Responsibilities Verify insurance policy benefits. Ensure all insurance information is obtained and documented. Educate patients and families on insurance issues. Communicate patient's fiscal responsibility in a professional manner. Answer telephones, screen calls, and provide general information and answer questions regarding billing and cost. Perform/assist with other non-clinical duties. Job holder is expected to be at work on a regular and predictable basis. Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of related experience required. Health, HSA/FSA, dental, vision, life, long term disability, 401(k) with employer contribution & voluntary insurance (i.e. critical illness, short term disability, life, identity theft). PTO, holidays, and bereavement leave.
