Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee the technical aspects of scoping, planning, designing, and executing on-site capital projects, ensuring successful project completion from start to finish. This role involves serving as the main contact for external engineering firms, equipment suppliers, and construction contractors regarding electrical queries and issues. The position will provide expert electrical engineering support for large capital projects, addressing production, maintenance, growth, regulatory, and environmental concerns.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be working with outside contractors, equipment suppliers and consulting firms, providing technical electrical engineering support for large capital projects. This engineer will be leading (the electrical engineering portion) of capital projects from inception to successful completion including the development of scope, equipment specifications and data sheets, preliminary equipment pricing, engineering drawings, project schedule and project budget for all electrical, controls, instrumentation, and selection, purchase, installation, and system start-up. Expertise in Power Distribution including MCC's, substations, transformers, lighting panels, and distribution panels is essential.

Education Certifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7-10 years of industrial manufacturing experience working in food, chemical, pharma, process manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with CAPEX projects over $10mil and working with multiple projects.
• Experience in Power Distribution systems including MCC's, substations, transformers, lighting panels, and distribution panels.
• Knowledge of Foxboro DCS control systems or other DCS systems is a plus.
• Expertise in understanding building indoor/outdoor lighting, HVAC, fire protection, warehousing, and emergency/backup power.
• Electrical/Controls/Instrumentation equipment specification, purchase, installation, and construction oversight.
• Knowledge in co-generation preferred.
