Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

A skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical environment. The role requires a blend of technical skills, critical thinking, and compassion as you support adult and geriatric patients in various stages of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and individualized patient care based on patients' specific needs.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond to changes in condition as necessary.
• Manage discharges and admissions efficiently.
• Apply basic cardiac drip knowledge to patient treatments.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Unit Information

The Telemetry unit consists of 22 beds with a patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1, providing an environment suited for team-oriented and flexible healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• 1.5+ years of nursing experience in telemetry or related fields.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with EKG interpretation and excellent critical thinking skills are preferred.
• Ability to manage both admissions and discharges effectively.
• Knowledge in common diagnoses and treatments, including CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, CKD, and post-cardiac catheterization care.

Work Schedule

The schedule will involve 36 guaranteed hours per week with shifts available for day or night. Weekend shifts required every other or every third weekend.
