MyTeam Medical Staffing is partnering with a well-established specialty clinic in SE Portland to recruit an experienced, compassionate, and credentialed Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2+ years current physician office or clinic experience in a specialty office. Must be able to work 7:45am-5pm Monday through Friday or 6:45am-4:00pm an occasional early shift.

What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting providers and ensuring patients receive outstanding care.

Responsibilities include:

• Rooming patients and obtaining accurate vital signs
• Collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints
• Preparing patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Assisting providers during exams and clinical procedures
• Administering injections, immunizations, and medications within scope of practice
• Performing point-of-care testing and specimen collection
• Accurately documenting patient information within the EMR/EHR
• Processing referrals, prior authorizations, and patient forms
• Managing patient phone calls, messages, and follow-up communications
• Maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies
• Following HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Supporting clinic operations and workflow as needed

Qualifications and Required:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Specialty experience and employment longevity with one employer strongly preferred
• Required: Current Medical Assistant certification: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), CCMA (NHA) or equivalent nationally recognized credential
• Required: Current AHA BLS/CPR Certification
• Required: Must have a current unencumbered drivers license.
• Required: Must be able to provide a copy of immunizations/vaccines.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in a specialty physician practice, or outpatient clinic working as a clinical medical assistant.
• Strong computer and EMR/EHR proficiency
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
