Work Environment

The role will be performed onsite at our hospital facility in Carmichael, California, where you will engage with a variety of patients in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive patient care. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, either from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, providing a balance of work and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in evaluating patients by gathering comprehensive health histories and performing initial assessments of physical performance.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, focusing on improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities.
• Utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises, specifically designed for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and quality patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise protocols, adaptive equipment usage, and strategies to prevent further injury.
• Coordinate with a diverse healthcare team to tailor patient-centered solutions that address unique medical needs.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions and professional development opportunities to remain current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Reinforce Physical Therapy, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This role offers the opportunity to impact a broad spectrum of patients ranging from children to elderly individuals, each requiring tailored treatment plans based on their unique clinical presentations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California (CA PTA License) and an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy (AAS PTA) are mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients and team members.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills to effectively implement therapy protocols.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic or hospital setting.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000, factoring in experience and qualifications.
