Pharmacy Intern PositionPerforms the professional functions associated with the practice of pharmacy. This is an intern position for students in school to be a Pharmacist. Mostly working in the summer months and on their breaks.Schedule: PRN: Hours may vary from day shift (6:15 am-2:45 pm) to second shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm) and weekends.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignments according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and protocols.Contributes to the effective operation of the department.Additional responsibilities may include, providing drug information, drug therapy monitoring and medication use reviews.Common Expectations:Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.Required for All Jobs:Performs other related duties as identified.WellSpan Health has adopted and implemented a compliance program to support WellSpan's values and standards for professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
