How you’ll make an impact in this role • Deliver direct patient care as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse, monitoring recovery and stabilizing patients after surgical procedures. • Assess patient responses to anesthesia, treatments, and interventions while ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the post-operative period. • Manage patient pain and recovery needs using clinical judgment, quality improvement practices, and established Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse standards. • Implement aseptic and sterile techniques according to AORN and ASPAN standards to protect patient safety and maintain high-quality direct patient care. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
