Senior Technical Recruiter (Contract)

Why this role matters: Vouch is scaling fast, and hiring is one of the biggest levers on that growth. We have a healthy volume of open roles across both our insurance and engineering teams, and we need an experienced contract recruiter who can step in and own the full hiring process end to end. As a Senior Technical Recruiter (Contract), you’ll be the engine that keeps our pipelines full and moving. You'll partner closely with hiring managers, drive proactive outreach, and make sure strong candidates have a great experience from first contact through to offer. This is a high-impact, hands‑on role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced startup environment and knows what it takes to fill roles that require real hustle and thoughtful sourcing. What You'll Do: Own end-to-end recruiting across a portfolio of open roles, which may include a mix of insurance and engineering positions, with a heavier focus on engineering, depending on where our needs are when you start Stay flexible as priorities shift week to week, reallocating your time toward whichever roles are most critical to close at any given moment Run weekly hiring manager syncs for your open roles, setting the agenda, aligning on priorities, and keeping searches on track Manage active pipelines and drive candidates through each stage, keeping momentum high and communication tight Source top‑of‑funnel talent using our LinkedIn Recruiter seat, flexing your sourcing time up or down based on pipeline health (heavier sourcing when a pipeline is thin, more pipeline management when it's full) Conduct initial candidate screens, provide clear feedback, and move qualified candidates on to hiring manager screens Partner with our recruiting coordinator, who handles interview scheduling, so you can stay focused on sourcing, screening, and pipeline movement Collaborate across ET, CT, MT and PT time zones to keep hiring managers and candidates moving About You: A seasoned, full‑cycle contract recruiter who has run intake, sourcing, screening, and pipeline management for a U.S.–based, fast‑paced startup or high‑growth company Experience recruiting for a variety of engineering roles Comfortable owning searches independently and being the driver of the process, not just a coordinator of it Flexible and adaptable, comfortable shifting focus between different types of roles as priorities change from week to week A proactive, high‑volume sourcer who understands that filling a role often takes significant, persistent outreach, and who's energized by that hustle Skilled with LinkedIn Recruiter and other modern sourcing tools A strong communicator who can partner credibly with hiring managers and represent Vouch well to candidates Able to juggle multiple open roles across different functions and priorities without dropping the ball Available up to 40 hours per week and able to work across ET, CT, MT and PT time zones Nice To Have: Experience recruiting in insurtech, commercial insurance, or another regulated category What to expect in a typical interview process: (Please note these steps may vary slightly depending on the role) 30‑45 minute phone call with our Head of People Recruiting philosophy: Vouch believes in putting our people first, and building a diverse team is at the front of everything we do.
