Program Coordinator, College of Arts and Sciences

Summary The Essential Duties And Responsibilities Collaborate with faculty and campus departments to develop, coordinate, and support programs and initiatives that enhance student recruitment, retention, engagement, and overall success. Serve as a liaison between the College and alumni, donors, community organizations, industry partners, and other external stakeholders. Plan, coordinate, and execute events, programs, and outreach activities that foster meaningful relationships with current students, alumni, and community partners. Maintain and update records, databases, and reports related to student achievements, alumni accomplishments, and program outcomes. Develop and distribute communications to alumni and other stakeholders regarding College initiatives, events, achievements, and opportunities for engagement. Maintain records, correspondence, and documentation related to existing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and partnership agreements, while cultivating relationships that may lead to new collaborative opportunities. Promote the College, its programs, and its activities through marketing, digital communications, social media, and other outreach channels. Partner with the University Career Center and academic departments to connect students with internship, career, networking, and professional development opportunities. Assist students in meeting requirements and preparing for experiential learning opportunities, including internships, job shadowing, research experiences, and community engagement activities. Promote and facilitate student participation in scholarships, undergraduate research, study abroad, service-learning, and other high-impact educational experiences. Provide administrative and operational support for Community and Global Engagement programs, initiatives, and activities. Track, maintain, and prepare reports on Community and Global Engagement participation, outcomes, and related metrics. Respond to and assist with a variety of student needs by providing information, resources, referrals, and support services. Compose, prepare, and maintain confidential correspondence, reports, records, and other complex documents with accuracy and professionalism. Represent California Baptist University and the College of Arts and Sciences in a professional, positive, and service-oriented manner. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of the mission, goals, and strategic initiatives of the College of Arts and Sciences. Summary The Program Coordinator, College of Arts and Sciences role provides comprehensive administrative and programmatic support to the College of Arts and Sciences, serving as a primary liaison among students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community partners. Ability to read, interpret, and prepare correspondence, reports, policies, and other documents appropriate to the responsibilities of the position. Ability to collect, analyze, and compile data and prepare accurate reports and presentations. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners. Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information. Professional customer service skills, including excellent telephone and email etiquette. Ability to coordinate, organize, and manage meetings, events, programs, and special projects. Knowledge of budgeting practices, expenditure tracking, and financial recordkeeping procedures. Ability to make independent administrative and procedural decisions consistent with established policies and guidelines. Ability to evaluate processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist in implementing effective solutions and best practices. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create clear, accurate, and professional communications and materials. Working knowledge of general accounting and financial management principles. Ability to develop, maintain, and manage records management systems and documentation processes. Ability to effectively address and resolve concerns, inquiries, and service-related issues in a professional and timely manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues, evaluate information, and make well-reasoned recommendations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service. The position may require attendance at on-campus events, meetings, and community engagement activities, occasionally outside of normal business hours. The work environment involves minimal exposure to physical hazards and is generally consistent with standard administrative and higher education office settings. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Higher Education, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; and two to three years of progressively responsible experience in program coordination, student services, higher education administration, community engagement, or a related area; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Dr. Robert K.
