Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health conditions and emotional well-being, employing standardized assessment tools and techniques. \n
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique goals and needs, considering their personal circumstances and preferences. \n
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). \n
- Continuously monitor and track clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting interventions and treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. \n
- Offer crisis intervention and responsive support to clients experiencing acute distress, employing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate resources when necessary. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical practices, ensuring compliance with legal standards. \n
- Engage in collaborative case discussions with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care. \n
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research and treatment methodologies through continuous education and training. \n
- Participate in regular supervision sessions to enhance your clinical skills and receive feedback aimed at professional growth and development. \n
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by relevant licensing boards and organizations. \n
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Southcoast Counseling Services, you will serve a diverse population of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families seeking help for various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship challenges. Your role will be pivotal in not only addressing immediate mental health concerns but also empowering clients to achieve sustainable emotional wellness.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. \n
- Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW). \n
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic skills, and a solid foundation in therapeutic techniques. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities that facilitate trust and connection with clients. \n
- A deep sense of empathy and compassion, with a genuine dedication to promoting client well-being. \n
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment. \n
- Familiarity with ethical guidelines and laws governing mental health practice. \n

A minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required. Familiarity with telehealth practices is preferred, as is experience working with diverse client populations and addressing a wide range of mental health issues.
Compensation and Benefits\nWe offer a competitive annual salary range of $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
