MERN Stack Developer

Akkodis is seeking a MERN Stack Developer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, and Kubernetes, including building distributed microservices, improving application performance, and supporting cloud-based deployments.


Rate Range: $56/Hour to $59/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


MERN Stack Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Build and support scalable RESTful APIs, event-driven services, and backend solutions to meet business requirements.
• Design and implement distributed microservices architectures leveraging Kafka, Redis, and modern caching strategies.
• Optimize front-end and back-end performance through efficient coding practices, performance tuning, and scalability enhancements.
• Deploy, manage, and support applications in Kubernetes environments while maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
• Manage data storage, querying, indexing, and real-time data processing using MongoDB and Kafka to ensure reliability and high availability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of full-stack application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js), JavaScript, TypeScript, REST APIs, and microservices development.
• Proven expertise in Kafka, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and performance optimization for scalable enterprise applications.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $59.00 per hour
