Join the dedicated team at Oregon State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital as a Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) in our Small Animal Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary professional to combine advanced clinical nursing skills with leadership in a dynamic academic teaching environment.

As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will work alongside a collaborative team of supervisors to lead and support Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs), veterinary assistants, and student employees while coordinating patient care services. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing care to canine and feline patients, mentor the next generation of veterinary professionals, and help ensure the highest standards of patient care, client service, and hospital operations.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent professional judgement, time management and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques and the ability to engage with and actively advance a diverse team
• The capacity to collaborate with other supervisors to provide leadership and support hospital-wide
• Flexibility and adaptability to manage challenging situations in a high-volume environment
• Advanced technical skills and a passion for providing optimal, compassionate nursing care
• A willingness to impart knowledge and wisdom to the next generation of veterinarians
• Current certification as a veterinary technician and the ability to obtain Oregon certification within six months of hire
• Familiarity with advanced medical and/or surgical procedures (minimum of three years’ experience as a licensed technician required - VTS in a small animal specialty preferred)
