IT Systems AdministratorBOOST LLC is a dynamic management consulting firm that offers an array of government-compliant back-office solutions to support our teaming partners within the GovCon space. We are working with our client, Don Selvy Enterprises (DSE) to find their next highly skilled IT Systems Administrator.DSE, Inc. is a team of experienced professionals dedicated to engineering, training, and program management that enables front-line soldiers, sailors, and Marines to fully exploit the tactical capabilities of aviation and maritime platforms. We accomplish this by using the most qualified employees and keeping abreast of every new capability in aviation, maritime technologies, and simulation/training technology as it emerges. Our wide range of expertise is constantly expanding as we seek valued members of the DSE team and work to develop each of them to their fullest potential in the field. To this day, DSE continues to foster a work environment that supports ingenuity and the care for each member of the team.The IT Systems Administrator will support DSE's day-to-day IT operations, Department of Defense customer environments, and DSE's expanding CMMC Level 2 cybersecurity compliance program. This is a hands-on role for an administrator who can independently manage Microsoft and Windows systems, resolve Tier 2 and 3 technical issues, maintain secure configurations, and help keep DSE's controlled unclassified information (CUI) environment assessment-ready.The position is mostly remote, with occasional travel to the Washington, DC area to configure and support IT systems and to work directly with DSE personnel, defense contractors, U.S. Government stakeholders, and foreign military representatives or dignitaries. The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.DSE doesn't just ask for your experience, it rewards it. DSE's PTO program is experience-based rather than tenure-based, meaning the relevant industry experience you bring with you can qualify you for a higher PTO allocation from day one, rather than starting over at the bottom like you would at most employers. It's a rare structure in this industry, where most companies only reward the tenure you earn after you join, not the years of expertise you bring with you.That same philosophy carries through the rest of the benefits package:Starting salary range: $80,000 to $105,000 annually100% company-paid medical and dental premiums for employees (50% for dependents)401(k) with up to a 4% company matchFully paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance, no cost to youEmployer-funded FSA plus HRA contributions toward your deductibleExperience-based PTO: your prior relevant experience can qualify you for a higher PTO allocation from day one, plus the option to purchase additional PTO11 paid holidays (6 national, 5 floating)Tuition reimbursement to support continued professional growthResponsibilities:Administer Windows 10/11 workstations, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, user accounts, permissions, MFA, and endpoint configurationsProvide Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting for laptops, software, Microsoft 365 services, printers, peripherals, remote connectivity, and common network issuesManage employee onboarding and offboarding, device provisioning, access changes, software installation, patching, and security configuration baselinesMaintain accurate hardware and software inventories, administrative records, change documentation, configuration records, and technical proceduresSupport Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, email security, retention settings, and related administrative functionsTroubleshoot and support core network services and connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and secure remote accessHelp manage and mature DSE's CMMC Level 2 program and NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2 security requirements across systems that process, store, or transmit CUIMaintain and update CMMC evidence and compliance documentation, including the System Security Plan (SSP), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), policies, procedures, network and system diagrams, inventories, and assessment artifactsImplement and monitor technical safeguards related to access control, identification and authentication, configuration management, media protection, audit and logging, incident response, system integrity, and risk managementHelp maintain the defined CUI security boundary and ensure approved methods are used for CUI storage, transmission, collaboration, removable media, and disposalSupport vulnerability remediation, patch management, endpoint protection, account reviews, secure configuration, and recurring compliance checksPrepare for and support internal reviews, customer requests, and CMMC assessment activities, including evidence collection and coordination with third-party assessors and cybersecurity consultantsAssist with employee security awareness, CUI handling guidance, and implementation of corrective actions identified through audits or assessmentsTravel occasionally to the Washington, DC metropolitan area to configure, maintain, troubleshoot, or transition IT systems for DSE-supported customers and partner organizationsWork professionally and discreetly with defense contractors, U.S. Government personnel, and foreign military representatives or dignitaries in sensitive operational environmentsDocument on-site work, system changes, configurations, and follow-up actions so support activities remain repeatable, auditable, and compliant with DSE security requirementsRequired Education:No specific degree requirement is stated;
