Position Overview:

As a Senior-Level Healthcare Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing complex construction projects from start to finish. This high-level position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of healthcare construction processes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to make critical decisions to ensure successful project execution. You will be working closely with your designated Project Manager to take projects from pre-construction through completion. The work is primarily healthcare related with emphasis on interior renovations (hospital and medical office buildings). Some of the projects will involve the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).

Most of the work for this position will fall within the Tampa-to-Sarasota area. On occasion, working outside of this radius is warranted and travel will be required. However, we strive and prefer to work locally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership and direction to on-site teams, including subcontractors and vendors, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Ensure project timelines are met and report progress to upper management.
• Implement and maintain a safe work environment, including adhering to all OSHA regulations.
• Manage project budget and resources, including materials, equipment, and labor.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any design and construction issues.
• Provide regular progress reports to upper management, stakeholders, and owners.
• Ensure that all construction activities are performed in compliance with building codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field -OR- equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8-10 years experience as a Construction Project Superintendent.
• Extensive experience managing diverse construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and safety regulations.
• Experience managing/overseeing construction projects in a hospital/medical setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong leadership skills and experience supervising and motivating a team.
