Finance Manager

Overview Job Summary The Finance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and leading all finance and accounting functions for the Humane Society. Job duties include payroll (timesheet reconciliation, health insurance deductions, HSA payments and retirement contributions), AR/AP, bank and credit card reconciliation, cash receipts and disbursements, deposits, journal entry, general ledger, restricted foundation grant fund monitoring/expense reconciliation, and monthly reporting to Finance Committee of Board and Executive Director, along with preparation of the year-end financial statements for the auditors. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. Additional Responsibilities Safeguarding organization assets and fiscal record keeping. Assisting with the annual budgeting and planning process. Overseeing all financial project/program and grants accounting and expenditures. Monitoring organizational cash flow in partnership with the Executive Director and Board of Directors. An important part of this role is coordinating all audit activity; consistently analyzing and preparing reports for senior management, the board of directors, external users, and government agencies, and monitoring department policies and procedures and recommending improvements. The Finance Manager is also charged with ensuring that all fund accounting activities are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, legal, regulatory, and stated organizational procedures, as well as ensuring that the Finance Department supports the overall goals of the organization and that finance services are delivered professionally, accurately and efficiently. #J-18808-Ljbffr Montana Nonprofit Association
