For more information, visit Job Description The United States Attorney's Office, Middle District of Florida (MDFL), seeks Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) for the Criminal Division in Tampa. The selected candidates will represent the U.S. Government on a wide range of unique and complex cases. Responsibilities will increase in scope and complexity as training and experience progress. Qualifications Required Qualifications: J.D. degree (or equivalent) and active membership in a U.S. bar by entry on duty date. Law school graduates and current law students taking the July 2026 bar exam may be considered. United States citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent academic credentials, at least three years of litigation experience, computer literacy, superior oral and written communication skills, strong character, adaptability to a demanding environment, and a commitment to public service. All qualification requirements must be met upon the closing date of the announcement. Conditions of Employment You must be a United States Citizen or National.
