Job Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: Up to $25.46
Shift Schedule:
During the training (first month of assignment) the shift will be M to F from 6am to 2.30pm. After the training and after discussion and confirmation with the manager: M to F from 9am to 5.30pmSummary:
The Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician is responsible for calibrating, testing, and shipping Client Echo systems. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Production Team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role. Candidates with Master's Degrees are considered overqualified for this position.Responsibilities:
- Follow established procedures to calibrate, test, and prepare instruments for shipping
- Provide the first line of troubleshooting for diagnosing problems
- Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in manufacturing machines/hardware calibration / using the data to calibrate manufacturing equipment
- Associate's degree in a technical field (Computer, Engineering or Life Sciences)
- Must have effective and analytical problem-solving skills, including basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests
- Proactive profile, asks questions and has initiative
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions and ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Prior work experience with calibration, automation, centrifuges, plate readers, etc.
- Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment (Agilent, Hamilton)
