Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Infectious Disease Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health . South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11‑floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state‑of‑the‑art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. Opportunity Details Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient HIV and infectious disease care, including services at Jacobi’s designated AIDS/ID Center. Perform thorough patient evaluations, physical examinations, and develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic infectious conditions in a high‑volume academic medical setting. Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic and therapeutic testing to guide clinical decision‑making. Prescribe and manage appropriate pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatment regimens. Collaborate with seven Infectious Disease Attendings and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Educate, mentor, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers, Residents, and Medical Students. Support the academic mission through teaching and clinical instruction as part of an Albert Einstein College of Medicine appointment. Maintain continuity of care through flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Share clinical responsibilities with Attending Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. Qualifications Active and unrestricted New York State medical license. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease. Must meet the qualifications of an HIV Specialist as defined by the NYSDOH AIDS Institute. Current DEA registration, Controlled Substances licensure, and BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire). Wages and Benefits Annual Base Salary: $246,000* (Board Eligible); $251,000* (Board Certified) based on 40‑hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $366,120** (Board Eligible) and $371,620** (Board Certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below. Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520. Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days. Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates. Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you. Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs. Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence‑based): Provided at no cost to the employee. Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
