NICET Level III or IV certified sprinkler designer preferred. A NICET certification is a requirement.
Designs of fire suppression systems, including sprinklers, standpipes, underground water mains, etc. using AutoSprink software.
Prepare submittal drawings and documentation for new sprinkler systems and alterations to existing systems. - Conduct technical review of buildings and their installed fire systems for client desired occupancy use and where necessary, make recommendations to retrofit building systems/features for proposed use.
Perform 3D coordination (BIM/VDC) on large scale projects including but not limited to Hospitals, Schools, and apartments/condo/hotel style projects.
Job Requirements: Education, training, experience:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of:
A High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in fire protection, fire services or a related field.
Minimum NICET Level II certification.
Clean driving record.
Knowledge of AutoSprink
Knowledge of Fire, Life Safety and Building codes.
Working knowledge of NFPA standards relating to fire sprinkler design.
