Registered Nurse - Surgical Intensive Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in patient care management within an ICU setting, particularly with adult populations. This role involves direct patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor critically ill patients, ensuring optimal care and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Perform advanced nursing procedures, including arterial line management and care of ventilated patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to team decision-making.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania or Compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Proficiency in using EPIC for patient charting.
• Ability to float as needed and cover every other weekend shifts.
