Payroll-HR Specialist

The Arightco Payroll/HR Specialist role is a client facing admin support role that provides support to Senior Leadership Team Client Partners who servicing external Arightco clients in need of Payroll and General HR support tasks and generally includes running weekly and Bi-weekly payrolls for US and/or client International payroll runs as needed. The position requires admin support in a variety of Payroll and Human Resources tasks as well as providing general Arightco admin support to the assigned Sr. Client Partner as needed. This job description is not all inclusive as each client may have individual needs. The profile provides an overview of typical duties and admin / payroll processing support and skills required for the position:
Job Duties & Essential Job Functions:
- Handle onboarding and off-boarding duties
- Benefits Administration, COBRA and assist w/open enrollment tasks
- 401K administration tasks
- Process full cycle payroll for clients that may include both US and international payroll processes.
- Assist team and employees with payroll tax concerns, pre-tax and post-tax deductions, prepare ad-hoc reports and respond to local or state payroll tax correspondence.
- Maintain documentation for aspects of HR compliance areas as needed, including EEO-1 and California Pay Data Reporting tasks.
- Assist with employee relation matters or conducting investigations as needed.
- Creating or implementing policies, procedures and ensuring Labor Law compliance.
- Ensuring employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status.
- Assist with prescreen or interview processes as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements / Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, Accounting/Payroll Processing field.
- SHRM CP or SCP certification preferred.
- A minimum of 3 three years of tactical hands-on related experience in HR/Payroll Processing in US and international platforms.
- Previous hi-tech Payroll/HR/Accounting experience preferred
- Understanding California and US Labor Law.
- Proficient in MS Office - Outlook, Excel &Word.
- Experience in a client-facing environment.
- Excellent people and listening skills.
- Ability to multi-task and change direction quickly.
- Ability to prioritize, work quickly, and use initiative.
- Willingness to learn and grow in position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of attendance and reliability.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Previous job experience supporting external clients
- Strong understanding of Recruitment and onboarding/offboarding processes
FLSA Job Status: Full-time – Hourly - Non-Exempt
Salary Range: 70K – 80K Annual
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of company facilities
Physical / Work Conditions / Location: Company: Office or Remote client business location as assigned. Employees are regularly required to sit, stand, and type. Use of hands and arms to reach, vision abilities including close and distance. Regularly talk and listen. Employees may be occasionally required to stand and walk or climb stairs. Employees may be required to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
