About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP, Head of Corporate Development to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the enterprise's corporate development strategy. This executive will be responsible for leading the identification, evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of strategic transactions that align with the company's long-term growth objectives. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, providing strategic insights and leadership across a range of portfolio opportunities. Key responsibilities include establishing a rigorous approach to transaction execution, driving strategic and financial evaluation, and building and leading a high-performing corporate development organization. The role demands a leader with a deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in oncology, and a proven track record in negotiating and executing complex, high-value strategic transactions. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a preference for those with a focus on oncology, and at least 10 years in business or corporate development leadership. An advanced degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, and the candidate must demonstrate exceptional strategic and financial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. The role requires a leader with a strong external network in the life sciences ecosystem, capable of representing the company in strategic discussions and industry engagements. The ideal candidate will be an enterprise-minded executive, combining strategic vision with the ability to execute, and will be adept at building organizational capability and leading high-performing teams.
