Job Summary The physical therapist assistant functions under the supervision of a physical therapist to provide patient care and support activities, as outlined in the patient plan of care and according to the Federal and State guidelines. Required Qualifications Require current State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Preferred Qualifications Prefer Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience. Mandatory Education AS: Associate of Science Preferred Education Required License and Certs PTA: Physical Therapy Assistant Preferred License and Certs BLS: Basic Life Support Employment Screening Requirements As part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's commitment to keeping people safe, all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations are required to undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
