The University of Vermont’s Department of University Housing & Dining Services ( UHDS ) is seeking a Residence Director to support a dynamic residential Learning Community and help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

As a live-on professional staff member, the Residence Director supervises Resident Advisors, builds community through restorative practices and student engagement, supports student success initiatives, and participates in an on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree

1-2 years experience working in residential life

Desirable Qualifications

(Preferred) Master’s Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Student Personnel, Counseling, Education, or Adult Education

Anticipated Pay Range $41,000-$42,000 (11-months)

Other Information

Successful candidates will be subject to background check due to the live-in nature of this position. This is an 11-month position, July 1 – May 31.

Special Conditions Weekend work required, Non-standard work hours required, A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Required to live on-campus, Background Check required for this position
