The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Court Analyst in the Office of Guardianship Matters and Elder Justice in Kings County, NY. Under the supervision of OJI’s Office of Guardianship Matters and Elder Justice, the candidate hired for this position will primarily be responsible for office administration and data management support for the Guardian Assistance Office (GAO). GAO’s mission is to provide training, educational materials, and individual one-on-one guidance and support to court appointed Mental Hygiene Law Article 81 lay guardians acting on behalf of an incapacitated family member or friend of limited resources. Key Responsibilities Providing general administrative, clerical, and data support, such as greeting walk-ins, answering phones and emails, routing calls, handling mail, scheduling appointments, performing data entry, and maintaining records. Conducting intakes and screenings. Providing support for office trainings and educational programs. Overseeing the issuance of lay guardian Mandatory Training Certificates. Maintaining and organizing centralized digital storage and communication spaces. Organizing, storing, and managing physical and digital files. Maintaining data collection and reporting systems. Updating spreadsheets and databases, and verifying data accuracy. Performing data analytics, creating visualizations in Excel or Power BI, and reporting findings. Generating periodic and ad-hoc data reports. Monitoring website performance, including analyzing user metrics, ensuring all content is up-to-date, and collaborating with technical teams for site compliance with legal, privacy and accessibility standards. Utilizing web‑based graphic design platforms to create informational and educational content. Attending office meetings, trainings, and professional development educational programs. Qualifications One year in the Assistant Court Analyst title; or Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have experience in office management, clerical work, administrative support, and data management, preferably in the legal or human services field, where services were rendered on behalf of older adults, disabled, or vulnerable populations. Excellent written and oral communication, high-level organizational skills, multitasking abilities, workload prioritization skills, attention to detail, and effective time management skills are strongly preferred.
