Unit Manager Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations and workflow on the unit

• Supervise and support nursing staff, including LPNs, RNs, and CNAs

• Monitor resident care to ensure compliance with care standards and regulations

• Review and update care plans, documentation, and clinical records

• Administer medications and treatments as needed

• Communicate with physicians, residents, and families regarding care updates

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions

• Support infection control and quality improvement initiatives

• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to nursing staff

• Ensure adherence to facility policies and state/federal regulations

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey LPN or RN license

• Prior long-term care experience required

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
