Job Title: Purchasing Administrator

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with Buyers to monitor, control, coordinate, and expedite the delivery of materials ordered. The primary function is to ensure that material delivery meets end-user needs and to report any variances to establish appropriate workarounds.

Responsibilities

  • Contact vendors to obtain information regarding delivery, material availability, shipping confirmation, and mode of transportation.
  • Update the online Purchase Order with appropriate shipping information.
  • Notify the Buyer and Planner of any variances that might impact the schedule.
  • Review the daily Receiving Report and update files accordingly.
  • Assist in resolving non-receivable material problems.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Confer with engineering, technical, or manufacturing teams using computers to enter, access, or retrieve information.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of purchasing or manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • International purchasing and negotiation skills.
  • Customer service and supply chain experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and buying experience.
  • Experience with Cost Point is a benefit.

Work Environment

This position is based full-time on-site in Columbia with a 9/80 schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbia, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $26.44/hr.
