Job Description

This role oversees high-volume manufacturing operations in a clean production facility, leading teams of 20 or more employees to meet and exceed production standards for consumer packaging products. You will coordinate daily activities on the production floor, ensure quality and efficiency, and provide guidance and support to your team across designated shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production teams of 20+ employees on the manufacturing floor to achieve established production targets and performance standards.

• Coordinate daily workflow across assembly, packaging, and general production activities to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

• Monitor production lines for quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety and operational procedures.

• Hold team members accountable to production standards, including output, accuracy, and compliance with processes.

• Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to production staff to ensure they understand expectations and job requirements.

• Collaborate with production management to address issues, implement improvements, and support overall production goals.

• Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

• Support training and development efforts on the production floor by reinforcing best practices and helping new team members learn processes.

• Assist with shift handoffs by communicating status updates, production results, and any ongoing issues to incoming leadership.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient manufacturing and compliance with facility standards.

Essential Skills

• Proven production lead experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate teams of 20 or more employees.

• Hands-on experience with assembly, packaging, and general production processes.

• Strong supervision and leadership skills, including setting expectations and providing direction.

• Ability to manage production lines and oversee production management activities.

• Capacity to enforce production standards and maintain consistent performance across the team.

• Solid communication skills for guiding staff and collaborating with production management.

• Commitment to safety and adherence to established manufacturing procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or consumer packaging environments.

• Background in production line oversight and coordination.

• Familiarity with structured training and development practices on the production floor.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean manufacturing environment focused on producing caps for consumer products. Team members work on structured shifts, including a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and a third shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, with shift differentials for applicable hours. Safety is a priority, and employees must wear safety glasses at all times, with some areas requiring additional protective gear such as hair nets, beard nets, and steel-toed boots. The facility is organized and process-driven, offering a professional production setting with clear standards and procedures.

This is a Permanent position based out of New Albany, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40560.00 - $56160.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
