Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Endocrinologist, you will help outpatient clinic patients with endocrine disorders receive specialized medical care and diagnosis so they can effectively manage their conditions and improve their long-term health.

 

In this role, you will deliver direct patient care in an outpatient endocrinology setting and contribute to academic excellence. You will supervise and teach medical students and Internal Medicine residents from Creighton University, while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. The position consists of outpatient responsibilities within a single clinic location close to the hospital campus. You will have access to full support staff. The medical group is a multi-specialty group that includes specialists in primary care, pulmonary medicine, endocrinology, palliative care, cardiology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, and other surgical specialties. To be successful in this role, you must be board certified or board eligible, a skilled and dedicated physician with expertise in Endocrinology, a passion for patient care and medical education, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, academic environment.

 

• Provide direct patient care in our outpatient setting
• Provide clinical supervision and teaching for medical students and Internal Medicine residents in the Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix
• Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides excellent care for all patients

Job Requirements

Required

 

• Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
• Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program and fellowship in Endocrinology
• A passion for providing clinically excellent care
• Active/Eligible American board certification Internal Medicine / Endocrinology 
• Must have or be eligible for an AZ State medical license
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

CREIGHTON SCHOOL OF MEDICINE:

For more than a decade, Creighton has had an academic presence in Phoenix, sending medical students to Dignity Health SJHMC for clinical rotations. That relationship expanded in 2009 when the University and St. Joseph's formally established a Creighton campus for third and fourth year students. In 2018, it was announced that Creighton would expand once again, this time opening a full four-year medical school campus in Phoenix to become the largest Catholic health professions educator in the nation.
