About the Position

All staff float between units. The unit has various surgical specialties, including orthopedic surgery. Total capacity includes multiple bays for patient recovery. The staff consists of registered nurses and patient care technicians. The day shift varies based on surgery schedules. The night shift typically has two registered nurses. Patient ratios are generally 1 RN to 2 patients, with some same-day surgery patients having up to 3. Staffing is per established standards. Equipment includes advanced monitoring systems. Use of electronic medical records is standard. Candidates must have critical care experience or PACU experience. Certifications in PALS, ACLS, and BLS are required. Preferred candidates will have experience in stroke care. Typical procedures include recovery from various types of surgeries and procedures.
