Respiratory Therapist - NICU

This position is for a Respiratory Therapist specializing in NICU. The role involves working with neonates and performing various critical care procedures. The therapist must be flexible as the position may float between departments. Weekends are required every other week as per the collective bargaining agreement. The expected staff-to-patient ratios will depend on hospital acuity. All staff will follow a variable schedule to ensure coverage as needed. The therapist will need knowledge in high-frequency jet and oscillating ventilation. Experience in neonatology, emergency handling, and critical care modalities is necessary. The candidate will be working with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy services. Strong clinical skills are essential for performing emergency procedures in a fast-paced environment. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities as needed. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in trauma-level care. The therapist will participate in ongoing training and maintain competency through modules. Compliance with all unit protocols and policies is mandatory.
