Aviation Leasing and Trading, Origination Lead

What role will you play? Drive growth in Macquarie’s aviation platform by originating and executing high-value aircraft and engine leasing, debt, and trading transactions. You will originate and execute aircraft engine leasing, debt, and trading opportunities across the United States, while supporting broader northern-hemisphere markets as needed. Partnering closely with regional leadership and cross-functional teams, you will lead transactions from initial opportunity through negotiation, approval, and closing. The role involves managing relationships with airlines, OEMs, lessors, and investors, while identifying opportunities through market analysis and portfolio insights. You will also contribute to portfolio management decisions, including restructurings and remarketing strategies, and mentor junior team members to strengthen team performance. This role is primarily U.S.-based with frequent domestic and international travel; in-office expectations align with regional team requirements. Salary range for this position: $200,000 - $300,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. What You Offer Demonstrated success in origination, business development and strategic partnerships within the aviation sector, preferably at a tier 1 or tier 2 aviation leasing or trading business, over 10+ years. Deep knowledge of aircraft and engine markets, pricing dynamics and technical drivers. Strong commercial negotiation skills and proven record of closing high-value leasing or trading transactions leveraging a strong industry network. Experience navigating cross-border or multi-jurisdictional deal structures. Ability to influence senior counterparties and align diverse internal stakeholders. Analytical rigor, organized and self-sufficient entrepreneurial mindset. International experience will be considered as an advantage.
