Associate Attorney

We are seeking a driven, client-focused associate attorney to join our growing personal injury team. This attorney will manage cases from initial intake through settlement or trial, handling both pre-litigation and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
• Meet with clients, evaluate claims, and maintain regular client communication.
• Review medical records, bills, and other case documentation.
• Negotiate claims with insurance adjusters and pursue favorable settlements.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions and handle hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Develop case strategies designed to maximize client recovery.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with all phases of litigation.
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to efficiently manage cases.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files while managing multiple matters simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Alabama State Bar license and in good standing.
• Personal injury experience required; pre-litigation and/or litigation experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, legal writing, and litigation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
• Client-focused, proactive, and committed to achieving strong results for clients.
