Pharmacist - Nashville, Tennessee

A dedicated Pharmacist position is available at a renal specialty mail order pharmacy serving approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. The role focuses on critical verification responsibilities to ensure medication accuracy and patient safety.


Location:

• Based in the Nashville, TN area (Lavergne, TN pharmacy location)

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
• 40 hours per week

Contract Details:

• 13-week contract with the possibility to convert to a permanent position
• Immediate start available
• Auto-offer process applies (candidates must be comfortable with an automatic offer acceptance procedure)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) functions
• Conduct final verification of prescriptions, ensuring the correct medication is dispensed
• Validate directions and prescription details against the physical hard copy
• Operate within the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system; note that no automation is involved
• Maintain accuracy and compliance in all dispensing activities
• No on-call duties required

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing
• Experience with prescription verification processes preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacy order entry systems, particularly Wellsky, is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Comfortable working independently during afternoon shift hours
