Job DescriptionAbout the Role3 days onsite – hybrid schedule (flexible)We are seeking a Software Development Director to lead global software R&D teams within the Productivity Solutions Division. This role manages a distributed organization, including direct reports, an international supervisor, and offshore vendor teams.You will drive the delivery of software solutions for regulated life sciences applications, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with business priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead global teams, including direct reports, managers, offshore teams, and external vendorsOversee full software development lifecycle across multiple concurrent projectsEnsure compliance with regulatory standards, including ISO 13485 (required)Drive Design Control processes, product lifecycle management, and quality outcomesManage resources, budgets, and vendor relationshipsPartner with cross-functional stakeholders across software, genomics, and pathology domainsQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific field10+ years of product development experience (software and/or hardware)7+ years of leadership experience managing global, distributed teamsStrong background in software R&D and delivery in regulated environmentsDirect experience with ISO 13485 and medical device quality systems (required)Domain knowledge in genomics, pathology, or life sciences preferredExperience managing offshore teams, contractors, and vendorsKey SkillsProven leadership of global, multi-layered teams (including managers and vendors)Strong program management across multiple projectsAbility to operate in regulated environments and drive complianceExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsFocus on execution, quality, and continuous improvementAdditional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
