This is a hybrid role that will oversee all payroll-related activities for our company in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, accounting, and a high attention to detail. This role will be responsible for managing the payroll of approximately 400 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality at all times. Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for weekly payroll.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Coordinate with HR to ensure correct employee data.Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll management role, preferably within the construction industry.Proven experience with UKG and salary payroll.Experience managing a payroll of around 400 employees (including union and salary payroll)Proficient with automated payroll systems and a strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function effectively as part of a team.Strong knowledge of the construction industry and its unique payroll considerations is a plus.If you have a passion for payroll management and a knack for numbers, we would love to hear from you.
