Overview
Registered Nurse – Infusion (Outpatient Infusion) – Utica, NY. Travel - temporary assignment starting August 23, 2026 for approximately 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,653 to $2,744. Shift is 8-hour days, 5 days per week. The role takes place in an outpatient infusion unit within a health-system setting, focusing on adult and geriatric patients undergoing infusion therapy, including chemotherapy.

Responsibilities
- Administer infusion therapies to adult and geriatric patients in the outpatient infusion unit, including chemotherapy per protocol
- Monitor patient responses, manage IV access, and respond to adverse reactions or infusion-related events
- Administer blood products as needed and per protocol, following safety and infection-control standards
- Document care and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EPIC); coordinate with pharmacy on medication management (Omnicell) and use Ascom for communication; perform glucometer checks as indicated
- Operate and monitor infusion equipment, including Alaris pumps and elastomeric pumps; ensure proper dosing calculations and medication verification
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, provide patient and family education on infusion therapy, potential side effects, and post-infusion care
- Willing to float to related units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in outpatient infusion
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, chemotherapy certification
- Chemo-certified
- Proficiency with EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, and glucometers; experience with Alaris and elastomeric pumps preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient infusion environment with adult and geriatric patients
- Floating to related units as needed per unit requirements
